9 Benefits of Starting the New Year with a Cleanse

9 Benefits of Beginning the New Year with a Cleanse | #cleanse #detox #NewYearResolutions #fitness

2018 is here, and how are your health and wellness resolutions coming along for the New Year?

If you are not making the progress you desire, think about it this way.  If you owned a car for five years and never changed the oil or the oil filters and never flushed the transmission, people would say you are crazy.  On the other hand, how many people have never flushed the toxins out of their body?  Think of all the toxins that have accumulated in your body for the last 20, 30, or 40 years.

1.  The New Year brings great motivation for a lifestyle change.

With the holidays behind you, you are excited to look and feel your best.  When you do a simple nine-day cleanse in the beginning of the year, it will give you a jump start to your health and wellness goals for the next year.

When you see very tangible results in just over a week, imagine how much excitement you will have to keep going in that direction to feeling better by taking excellent care of yourself.

2.  A cleanse can help you feel lighter.

When the toxins from your body are gone, you no longer feel as though there are rocks in your stomach.  You feel like a new person, and the absence of the waste in your digestive system.  You may even feel younger!

3.  A cleanse can help eliminate bad breath.

Growing up you heard that brushing your teeth will get rid of bad breath.  You may have been told also to brush your tongue.  You may be frustrated that you are doing both and still experiencing embarrassingly bad breath.  After a cleanse, though, your bad breath may improve because it is affected by your digestive health, or lack thereof.

4.  A cleanse can help your skin look clearer.

If you are dealing with eczema, acne, or psoriasis, you may have tried all sorts of topical soaps, scrubs, sprays, and creams.  No matter how good those products are, they will not solve your issues completely.  You see, your skin’s health begins in the digestive system.

When your skin is breaking out, it means that your skin is helping your body detox.  Therefore, when the toxins in your body have been eliminated, your skin can look so much better!

5.  A cleanse can help you have more energy naturally.

When you are tired, don’t make the mistake of covering the symptoms by drinking caffeine or energy drinks all day.   Your digestive system is likely full of toxins that are making you tired.  A good cleanse will, while eliminating toxins, also infuse you with natural energy levels by giving you the nutrition you need.

Imagine instead of being sleepy all the time wanting to take a nap, being excited to go for a walk, run, or bicycle ride!  How would that affect your outlook on life?

6.  A cleanse can help you get rid of your sugar cravings.

Sugar cravings can happen because your body is not absorbing nutrition from the food you are eating.

I used to drink an entire bottle of fruit juice (remember, it has added sugar) in just two days because I was craving sugar that much.  Also, a bag of Twizzlers would vanish in roughly 24 hours because I was addicted to sugar.

Now I can go months without eating refined sugar, and I do not crave it.  An apple or two a day gives me plenty of sugar.

7.  A cleanse can support your immunity.

Toxins in your body from junk food, pollution, and many other sources make you ill.  When you cleanse your body of those toxins, you will feel so much better.

I used to catch the flu and suffer with it for at least two three weeks each winter.  Now even if I catch the flu, it does not stick around long at all.  It’s such a blessing. 🙂

8.  A cleanse may help clear the fog in your brain.

My husband used to tease me that every time he would ask me a question before we were married, I would say, “Ummm” and pause.  It took a while to process the question and come up with an answer.

Why is this?  The brain and gut are very closely connected, and when the gut is full of toxins, the brain won’t function properly either.

Let’s just say that “ummm” is no longer part of my vocabulary. 🙂  My husband has to find other ways to tease me now. 🙂

9.  A cleanse can help you manage your weight.

You may have thought that this would be the top reason.  Well, it really is not.  Weight is a symptom, not a problem itself.

When there are too many toxins in your body, you will definitely gain weight.  When those toxins are gone, the weight can come off as well.  It’s taking care of the root issue instead of using a bandaid.

Those are just nine of the benefits of a cleanse.  I began my cleanse yesterday and will update you on the results!  If you want to join me, just email me here right away.
